Debra L. Winegarten (a''h), a third generation Texan, was the author of six award-winning books, in addition to being the founder and owner of Sociosights Press. She either stumbled into publishing or "claimed it," or some combination thereof starting in 1998 when she published her first book, "Strong Family Ties: The Tiny Hawkins Story."
She went on to publish not only her own books, but to take on other authors as well, dividing her time between working on her own books (which can be found at winegarten.com), and devoting herself to her publishing company's success. When not writing, marketing, doing project management or public speaking, she lived in Austin, Texas with her beloved heart partner and wife, Cindy Huyser, also an award-winning poet, who now maintains this website in her memory.
